Traveller Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before you use the Service. By registering, logging in, using guest mode, or otherwise accessing or using Traveller, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions and nature of the Service
1.1 "Traveller" (the "Service") is a cross-platform application and website (including iOS, Android, Web, etc.) operated by us. It is a travel and lifestyle information community and toolkit that may include user-generated content (UGC), third-party data, and automated or assisted features.
1.2 "We," "us," or "our" means the operator of the Service. "You" means the individual user, or an organization you validly represent.
2. Features (as offered today; subject to change)
2.1 Browsing and social features
(1) Home and categories may include seasonal activities, attractions, restaurants, travel posts, shopping recommendations, and similar feeds; region/country filters, search, and sorting may be available.
(2) Data may come from users, databases we or partners maintain, and public place or map information from third parties (e.g., Google Places). What you see on screen is controlling.
(3) Interactions may include posts, videos, photo albums, comments, likes, shares, view counts, reports, and notifications.
(4) Personalized feeds: we may automatically rank and surface content in home feeds, following recommendations, Plaza (photo albums), and video feeds based on factors such as who you follow, likes and interactions, category preferences, device location or region settings, popularity, and recency. We do not currently offer an in-app toggle to disable personalized ranking; if you disagree, please stop using the Service or do not sign in. See the Privacy Policy.
2.2 Posting and creation
(1) Posts, short videos, and albums; you may set visibility (e.g., public, followers, mutual follows, subscribers, private). Unless set to private, albums may appear in Plaza according to the visibility you choose.
(2) Trips and travel plans: create, edit, share; group or collaborative features may exist.
(3) UGC for places: you may add or edit restaurant or attraction entries; you warrant you have the rights to do so and do not infringe others.
(4) Translation and display settings may call third-party translation or language services (see Privacy Policy).
2.3 Maps and travel entry points
(1) The Service may provide links or search entry points for flights, hotels, car rental, ride-sharing, etc. Actual booking, pricing, changes, refunds, and performance are governed by contracts between you and third parties (or counterparties).
(2) Ride-sharing / carpool information is matching between users; we do not provide transportation services or perform driving or carriage contracts.
2.4 Messaging and notifications
In-app notifications, direct messages / chat, requests from people you do not follow, block lists, and similar features may be offered. Message content may be stored on cloud infrastructure we use for delivery and security review (see Privacy Policy).
2.5 Accounts, social graph, and monetization (where enabled)
(1) Profiles, follow / follower relationships, and creator subscriptions.
(2) Wallet, points, gifts/tips, payouts / settlement may be processed via Stripe or other payment partners; creators may need to complete Stripe Connect or similar identity and payout verification.
(3) Paid subscriptions or point purchases (e.g., site-wide or per-creator) are also subject to the checkout screen and Stripe’s terms.
2.6 Assisted features
Features such as the "Trip AI assistant" may use artificial intelligence (e.g., OpenAI) based on text you provide. Outputs are informational only and are not legal, medical, financial, or binding travel advice.
2.7 Web and ads
The web version may show third-party ads (e.g., Google AdSense). Ad placement and creatives are controlled by the ad platform. You may manage cookies in your browser (see Privacy Policy).
3. Eligibility and account security
3.1 You must have full legal capacity under the laws that apply to you; if you are a minor, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you.
3.2 You may register with email, Google, Facebook, or other methods we support. You must provide accurate, current contact information and keep your credentials and devices secure.
3.3 Guest mode may only allow limited use (e.g., browsing). Posting, comments, payments, or withdrawals may require login or additional verification.
4. Your content and license
4.1 You retain IP rights in your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, publicly perform/display, adapt (e.g., resizing for screens), and distribute your content as needed to operate, maintain, and promote the Service (including text, images, video, and trip data).
4.2 You represent that your uploads do not violate privacy, publicity, trademark, copyright, or other rights of third parties.
4.3 We may remove, restrict visibility, or stop distribution of content based on law, reports, or risk assessment, and may disclose information when required by authorities or courts.
5. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
(1) Violate laws, public order, or others’ rights;
(2) Commit fraud, harassment, hate speech, CSAM, malware, abusive scraping, or attacks on the Service;
(3) Impersonate others, spread false information, or collect personal data without consent;
(4) Expose us or others to undue risk or liability.
6. Third-party services
6.1 Integrated or linked services (e.g., Supabase, Google, Meta, Stripe, OpenAI, travel affiliate or search partners, maps/places, ad networks) have their own terms and privacy policies. Issues with those services are between you and the third party.
6.2 We do not warrant third-party availability, accuracy, or pricing.
7. Payments, invoicing, and refunds
7.1 Online payments (subscriptions, points) are as shown at checkout and processed by Stripe or partners.
7.2 Except where mandatory law or our separate policy requires otherwise, digital goods or consumed services may not be refundable; contact support for disputes.
8. Changes, suspension, and termination
8.1 We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for operational, legal, technical, or security reasons, with notice where reasonable.
8.2 You may stop using the Service and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breaches.
9. Disclaimer and limitation
9.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." See also the Disclaimer regarding third-party content, place data, routes, prices, availability, and AI outputs.
9.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
10.2 You and we agree that the Taipei District Court shall have first-instance jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may give you other venues.
11. Changes and contact
11.1 We may revise these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or otherwise. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
